Tiara Ford is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, where she represents survivors of institutional sexual abuse within the Maryland public school system.
Known for her compassion and dedication to her practice, Tiara believes every client deserves an attorney who listens, communicates openly, and advocates tirelessly on their behalf. She takes pride in being readily available to her clients, maintaining consistent communication, and building trust through transparency, giving clients confidence that their concerns are heard every step of the way.
Prior to joining the firm, Tiara served as Team Captain of the Juvenile Division at the State’s Attorney’s Office, where she focused extensively on Juvenile Law with a specialization in juvenile competency. Throughout her career, she worked to balance the rehabilitation of young people with the community’s need for safety and justice, helping juveniles learn from past mistakes while advocating for outcomes that promoted long-term success.
Outside of her legal practice, Tiara is committed to giving back to her community. She regularly volunteers during the holidays, helping feed people experiencing homelessness and participating in toy drives and family adoption programs. Most recently, she and her son adopted a family of three, providing clothing, toys, and a holiday meal to help make the season brighter.
Tiara earned her B.A. from the University of Lynchburg (formerly Lynchburg College) and her J.D. from Barry University School of Law. While in law school, she served as the President of the Black Student Association, and participated in the summer Mock Trial team. She was also a part of the Juvenile Delinquency Clinic, where she began her legal career serving underprivileged youth. Tiara also interned for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People – Florida Chapter., where she authored an initiative on the criminalization of mentally ill people. She joined Slater Slater Schulman in June 2026 and is licensed to practice law in Maryland.
