Diana A. Mikhail is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, where she represents survivors of sexual abuse and clients involved in mass tort matters in California. She brings both a strong legal mind and a deeply human approach to her practice.

Thoughtful and empathetic, Diana believes every client has a story to tell and a unique goal to achieve. She takes the time to listen carefully, understand each client’s motivations, and provide straightforward, honest guidance throughout the legal process. Her accessibility and patience help clients feel heard, informed, and supported as they navigate complex legal matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Diana spent 20 years practicing corporate law, focusing on real estate transactions and regulatory compliance. She advised clients on financing and constructing affordable housing projects nationwide, including preserving historic housing across the southern and eastern United States. She also spent several years advising health insurers on regulatory compliance matters. This extensive transactional and regulatory experience has given Diana a broad understanding of complex legal issues and a keen ability to navigate sophisticated matters from multiple perspectives.

Diana received her B.A. in Communications from Antioch College and her J.D. from DePaul University. She joined Slater Slater Schulman in 2026 after previously working with the firm as a contract attorney. Her experience at SSS introduced her to working directly with individuals and families, an aspect of the practice she found particularly meaningful. She is licensed to practice in the state courts of California and Illinois, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Central District of California and the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Outside her legal practice, Diana is a sculptor, ceramic artist, and amateur glaze chemist with a particular interest in crystalline glazes.
