Scudder Sodergreen is a Senior Associate at Slater Slater Schulman, where he oversees and litigates cases involving institutional child sexual abuse, particularly schools, foster care/group homes, and medical settings.
Scudder is a dedicated advocate for survivors, committed to helping clients seek justice through persistent guidance and support. Known for his confidence and empathy, he takes a client-centered approach rooted in patience, empowerment, and consistency. Scudder works closely with clients to help them understand their options, make informed decisions, and navigate some of the most challenging periods of their lives with confidence and clarity.
Prior to joining the firm, Scudder built a diverse litigation background across civil rights, criminal, and family law. He began his legal career at a boutique firm in Baltimore, where he handled civil rights litigation, including a high-profile case against Baltimore County and its State’s Attorney’s Office concerning the alleged mishandling of rape and sexual assault cases. He later served as a felony narcotics and firearms prosecutor in Baltimore City before transitioning to family law litigation, where he focused on protective orders and represented victims of domestic violence and child abuse.
As a passionate trial attorney, Scudder thrives in the courtroom and brings extensive litigation experience to every matter he handles. His commitment to representing survivors was shaped in college, when he witnessed the lasting impact of trauma on close friends who had been assaulted. Those experiences inspired him to pursue a legal career focused on helping victims reclaim their voice and holding wrongdoers accountable.
Scudder earned his B.A. in Politics from The Catholic University of America and his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. In 2025, he was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. He proudly joined Slater Slater Schulman in 2026 and is licensed to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
