Christian Curran is an Associate attorney at Slater Slater Schulman who has extensive civil litigation experience with a focus on general liability. Dedicated to advocating for clients who have been seriously injured, Christian frequently represents clients in matters involving personal injury, with a strong emphasis on auto and premises liability.
Christian’s client-centered approach to each unique case drives his success. From the initial client intake through a claim’s resolution, Christian aspires to empower his clients to stand up for their rights at a time when they may feel most vulnerable. By educating clients as to the complexities and varying outcomes inherent in litigation, Christian is able to introduce achievable goals and guide his clients through the litigation process.
Christian’s prior background representing both plaintiffs and defendants has afforded him a substantial advantage over many other attorneys in the industry. Prior to working at Slater Slater Schulman, Christian served as an Associate attorney for a national law firm based in New York City. During this time, Christian gained extensive experience litigating high exposure bodily injury cases and discovered the strength behind utilizing a team-based approach in representing clients.
While in law school, Christian was a member of the Hofstra Law Review where he secured his first legal publication: The Textalyzer: The Constitutional Cost of Law Enforcement Technology, 47 Hofstra L. Rev. 325 (2018). Christian also served as a research assistant to multiple professors throughout law school and provided pro bono tax support to individuals in underserved communities as a certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistant with the Internal Revenue Service. Outside of the firm, Christian is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Christian graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Towson University. He received his Juris Doctor from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, graduating cum laude and receiving the Tort Law Excellence Award. Christian joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in January 2021 in search of a firm that matched his passion for the law and advocating for those in need. He was admitted to the Bar in 2019 and is permitted to practice in New York State and the Federal Eastern District of New York.
