Meet Rachel Lader

Rachel Lader is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors of adult sexual abuse.

Rachel began advocating for survivors during a two-year externship focused on the Child Victims Act. In this role, she developed a robust client-centered approach to represent the unique needs of each survivor. Her empathetic nature instills trust in her abilities and empowers survivors.

Rachel is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and was named Nassau County’s Young Lawyer of the Year in 2022 by the Nassau County Legislature. Prior to the firm, Rachel interned for Presiding Justice Rolando Acosta of the Appellate Division First Department. She’s also a former volunteer with Best Buddies, an organization helping to create one-on-one friendships, employment connections, and leadership opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Rachel has actively participated in political campaigns around New York City, including hosting a birthday celebration for Mayor Adams and former Comptroller William Thompson. She also worked with Martin Luther King III to raise awareness of those suffering the indignity of poverty and to spread a message of peace.

Rachel received her B.A. in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University. She received her J.D. from New York Law School, where she was a member of the Dean’s List High Honors in the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. Rachel joined Slater Slater Schulman in September 2023 and is licensed to practice in New York.
