Meet Jaime M. Farrell

Senior Associate

Jaime M. Farrell is an Associate at Slater Slater Schulman and a notable advocate for victims and survivors of sexual abuse and claimants injured by defective products. With over 15 years of legal experience, Mr. Farrell has represented clients in state, federal, and consolidated proceedings in matters relating to child abuse, claims under the NY Child Victims Act, human trafficking and commercial sex trafficking, claims under the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act as well as product liability litigation.

Trust and determination are the pillars to Mr. Farrell’s success when representing victims and survivors of sexual trauma, and claimants injured by defective products. By establishing an early rapport with clients, Mr. Farrell empowers his clients to share their stories by providing a safe and supportive environment while clients begin to assist in the prosecution of their claim. His constant engagement with clients assures victims and survivors he will always fight in their best interests, while his ability to set client-specific goals and expectations instills hope that justice is achievable, and these voices can be heard. He joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in January 2021, inspired by the firm’s compassion for supporting victims and survivors of child sexual abuse, and claimants injured by defective products.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Farrell was intimately involved in representing individual and municipal claimants for over a decade at a prominent New York City firm prosecuting false claims and product liability claims against pharmaceutical and medical device companies. During this time, he has been trial counsel to clients in numerous state-court and federal consolidated litigations. In 2014, he was part of the trial team of a client suffering from bladder cancer associated with his use of a pharmaceutical medication which resulted in a 9-billion-dollar jury verdict, at the time the largest civil jury verdict in history for a personal injury lawsuit. In 2020, Mr. Farrell was recognized as one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by The National Trial Lawyers for his work in the field of sexual abuse and product liability litigation.

Outside of the firm, Mr. Farrell is an active member of the American Association of Justice and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has also participated in Pro Bono work at the Legal Aid Society, where he has donated his time and provided representation to low-income New Yorkers in matters involving housing disputes.

Mr. Farrell graduated from Merrimack College with a Business Administration degree in Finance before receiving his Juris Doctor from Rogers Williams University School of Law. He was admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar in 2003, the New York State Bar in 2020, the Florida State Bar in 2022, and is permitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the District of Massachusetts, Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York.
