Meet Alina Sookasian

Alina Sookasian is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman with over five years of litigation experience. Her practice focuses primarily on representing survivors of child sex abuse.  She also has expertise in handling cases involving catastrophic personal injury.

Earning a client’s trust from the start is a priority for Alina in every case, as honesty and consistency are crucial when working with individuals suffering from severe trauma. Alina’s persistence as an advocate ensures her clients that they always have an ally in their corner. Her sincere concern for their best interests gives them confidence to follow her lead in securing the best possible outcome.

Throughout her career, Alina has had extensive experience working up cases through trial. Notably, at the conclusion of her recent trial in July 2021, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in her client’s favor.

Alina graduated with her B.A. in Political Science and English Literature from UC Irvine. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was a competing member of the Byrne Trial Advocacy Team– a nationally ranked competitive mock trial team.

Alina officially joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in June 2022. She was drawn to the firm’s dedication to protecting children and obtaining justice for survivors of sexual abuse who suffer from severe trauma at the hands of the very people whose primary responsibility was to protect them.
