Elena Morgan is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman LLP, where she works on Child Sexual Abuse matters and advocates for survivors seeking justice and accountability.
Elena is committed to providing thoughtful and client-centered representation, recognizing that every client’s experiences and needs are different. She works to build genuine trust with the people she represents by listening carefully, communicating openly, and creating a supportive environment throughout the legal process. Elena believes clients deserve both strong advocacy and compassion as they navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Prior to joining the firm, Elena spent five years as an Associate Attorney at a boutique criminal defense firm in California, where she handled misdemeanor and felony matters, conducted jury trials, argued evidentiary hearings, and drafted motions and appellate petitions. Before practicing in California, Elena also interned with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and the Illinois State Appellate Defender, where she gained valuable experience in criminal and appellate advocacy. She has secured notable results in these roles for her clients, including a Writ of Mandate from the Supreme Court of California and successful arguments before both the California and Illinois Appellate Courts, resulting in reversals and new hearings or trials.
Committed to giving back to her community, Elena has participated in pro bono legal service programs since law school. Most recently, she has volunteered with the Solano County Lawyers in the Library program, providing virtual pro bono consultations, legal resources, and referrals to individuals seeking legal guidance and support.
Elena earned her B.A. in Communications from Suffolk University and her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she received the Benjamin Hooks Distinguished Service Award and the Faculty Leadership Award. She proudly joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in 2026 and is licensed to practice in the State of California and the Federal Eastern and Northern Districts of California.
