  • Christian Curran is a Senior Associate at Slater Slater Schulman with extensive civil litigation experience. Christian frequently represents clients in personal injury matters–with a strong emphasis on auto and premises liability– and advocates for survivors of sexual abuse through New York’s Child Victims Act.

    Christian demonstrates powerful litigation strategies by deriving a unique client-centered approach in every case. He empowers survivors to be involved in the legal process and find their voice while treating them with the grace and respect they deserve. By educating clients about the complexities and varying outcomes, Christian can introduce achievable goals his clients understand and can follow through to favorable results. Christian’s zealous representation has secured numerous favorable settlements for his clients.

    Christian has taken an active role on the firm’s CVA team, handling all aspects of cases involved in New York’s Child Victims Act litigation. Christian understands the unique needs of individuals who have suffered trauma and works jointly with his clients to develop a shared understanding of their legal options and goals.

    Prior to Slater Slater Schulman, Christian served as an Associate for a national law firm based in New York City. During this time, Christian gained extensive experience litigating high-exposure bodily injury cases and discovered the strength behind utilizing a team-based approach in representing clients.

    In law school, Christian was a member of the Hofstra Law Review, where he secured his first legal publication: The Textalyzer: The Constitutional Cost of Law Enforcement Technology, 47 Hofstra L. Rev. 325 (2018). Christian also served as a research assistant to multiple professors throughout law school and provided pro bono tax support to individuals in underserved communities as a certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistant with the Internal Revenue Service.

    Christian received his B.S. in Sports Management from Towson University and his J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he graduated cum laude and received the Tort Law Excellence Award. Christian joined Slater Slater Schulman in January 2021 in search of a firm that matched his passion for the law and advocating for those in need. He is licensed to practice in New York State and the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.
