  • Cara Hunter is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman advocating for survivors of sexual abuse involved with the Boy Scouts of America litigation.

    Cara is a committed and responsive advocate who highly values effective communication in her practice. She ensures her clients stay informed throughout the legal process, setting clear expectations and achievable goals to avoid misunderstandings or conflicts.

    Prior to joining Slater Slater Schulman, Cara gained experience in personal injury litigation, estate planning, and probate administration while working at law firms in Winter Park and Sarasota, Florida. Along with her associate experience, Cara was the Director of CLE Accreditation and Director/Manager for a national continuing education company, coordinating co-sponsored events with bar associations and conducting market research to assess curriculum needs.

    Cara received her B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University and her J.D. from Barry University of Law. She’s been a valuable part of the Slater Slater Schulman since October 2024 and is licensed to practice in Florida state courts. Outside the firm, Cara is heavily fundraising for local K-8 education through local elementary and middle schools.
