Roxanna Talaie is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, bringing over 4 years of litigation experience to the firm. With a background representing both plaintiff and defensive matters, Roxanna is a fierce and knowledgeable advocate primarily representing survivors of clergy sexual abuse.
Roxanna implements a person-centered approach in her practice to establish a close and trustworthy relationship with her clients from the start. Approaching each case with an elevated level of understanding and empathy is the pillar of her success. Roxanna’s dedication ensures her clients know their best interests are at heart while she empowers and supports them in seeking long-awaited justice against the individuals and institutions who abused them.
As a seasoned litigator, Roxanna has been recognized for her outstanding efforts on several accounts. She was a former recipient of the Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute and recognized by Lawyers of Distinction – Securities Law 2019. Roxanna was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2022 and is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
Prior to the firm, Roxanna represented corporations, boards of directors, and individuals in various matters, with a primary focus on securities litigation, personal injury, and workers’ compensation. For three years, Roxanna represented clients for one of the country’s most prominent securities litigation firms, handling matters involving the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. After that, Roxanna represented clients through one of California’s oldest workers’ compensation firms defending insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and employers.
Roxanna graduated with her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She received her J.D. from Pepperdine University, where she participated in the Community Justice Clinic, acting as general counsel for nonprofits, non-governmental organizations and other community groups promoting social justice, human rights and providing economic opportunities and resources to underserved communities.
Roxanna officially joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in June 2022, matching the firm’s commitment to providing zealous representation to clients who have suffered severe acts of sexual abuse. She is admitted to practice in California State Courts and the United States District Courts, Northern, Central, and Southern District of California.
