Terry Pittman Jr. (TJ)  is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors of sexual abuse and individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others.

With a background in criminal law, TJ brings a passionate and dedicated approach to advocating for his clients. He prioritizes clear, intentional communication, making himself available to answer questions, explain legal proceedings, and help clients understand what to expect throughout the legal process.

Prior to joining the firm, TJ served as a Misdemeanor Assistant at the First Judicial District Court in Caddo Parish, where he handled traffic offenses, misdemeanors, and lower-level felonies. This experience helped shape his commitment to helping victims of traumatic events and pursuing justice on their behalf.

Outside of his practice, TJ serves as Treasurer of the Shreveport Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and is part of the Louisiana State Bar Association Young Lawyer Division Leadership Class for 2026–2027. He has also given back to his community by supporting A.C. Steere Elementary School and serving as Law Week Chairman for the Shreveport Bar Association, helping introduce students to the legal profession through mock trials and scholarship opportunities.

TJ received his B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. He earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He was recognized as a Shreveport-Bossier Top Attorney in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and was named to NACDA’s Top 10 Under 40.

TJ joined Slater Slater Schulman in 2026 and is licensed to practice in Louisiana state courts. Outside of the courtroom, he enjoys supporting the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, coaching Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit, and Hyrox, and listening to live music.
