Edward Cardona III is a Senior Associate at Slater Slater Schulman, where he represents survivors in Child Victims Act cases and other sexual abuse and assault matters.
Eddie brings nearly two decades of experience in complex litigation, primarily advocating for individuals and their families in high-stakes disputes, while also representing major institutions and local businesses. His background spans personal injury, medical malpractice, civil rights, environmental torts, negligent security, construction defect, class actions, mass torts, and wrongful death cases. This broad experience gives him a strong foundation to confidently navigate intricate legal and organizational structures.
Eddie approaches every case with a strategic, pragmatic eye and a genuine sense of compassion. He takes the time to ensure his clients understand their cases, offering steady support through a process that can often feel overwhelming. Clients value his thorough preparation and straightforward guidance, which help them move forward with confidence during some of the most challenging moments in their lives.
Prior to joining the firm, Eddie directly handled complex civil litigation matters in over a dozen jurisdictions and handled high-value national cases across a wide range of practice areas. In addition to his trial work, he played a significant role in operational initiatives, including advancing firm modernization efforts, improving client intake systems, and negotiating major settlements against well-funded institutional defendants.
Beyond his legal work, Eddie is deeply committed to advocacy and community involvement. He is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice, and has given back through youth sports, serving as a former Pop Warner football coach, club soccer coach, and baseball coach.
Eddie earned his B.A. in Political Science from California State University, Northridge, and his J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. During law school, he received the Dean’s Award in both 2007 and 2008 for exceptional service to the law school community. He was later recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2017 to 2019.
Eddie has been a valuable member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since October 2025, drawn to the firm’s dedication to representing survivors of institutional abuse and its national reputation for taking on complex, high-impact cases. In the past, Eddie has been admitted pro hac vice to handle cases in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He is currently licensed to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
