David Wyatt is a Senior Associate at Slater Slater Schulman, where he focuses his practice on human trafficking litigation.
With extensive courtroom experience, David is a composed, empathetic, adaptable, principled, and resourceful advocate who brings a steady and practical approach to complex litigation. He is committed to meeting clients where they are—taking the time to listen, understand their circumstances, and build trust from the very first conversation—while guiding them through the legal process with care.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as an Assistant District Attorney General in the 23rd Judicial District of Tennessee, where he prosecuted cases ranging from shoplifting to major drug trafficking organizations and capital murder. During his tenure, he tried nearly 30 jury trials and was recognized for his outstanding work, receiving the Prosecutor of the Year award for the 23rd Judicial District in 2017 and the President’s Award for Outstanding Prosecution in the State of Tennessee in 2021. He later transitioned into personal injury litigation, handling auto accident cases, catastrophic injury claims, and wrongful death matters, further broadening his civil litigation experience.
David earned his B.S. in Environmental Management from Western Kentucky University and his J.D. from Nashville School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
David has been a valued member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2026, drawn to the firm’s national impact in high-stakes litigation and its commitment to advocating for survivors in complex and meaningful cases.
