Emily Margolin is a Junior Associate at Slater Slater Schulman, advocating for adult survivors of sexual abuse.
Emily compassionately represents survivors through a client-centered approach, creating individualized strategies to meet her clients’ unique needs. She fosters authentic working relationships steeped in empowering practices, including empathizing with survivors’ past traumas and valuing self-preservation. She assisted in various civil rights cases and conducted extensive research on voting rights matters, including race-based voter suppression, redistricting, and election protection. Before this, Emily successfully served as a paralegal for the U.S. Attorneys Office, Southern District of New York, standing as a two-time winner of the Department of Justice award for outstanding effort and exceptional work.
Emily received her B.A. in Political Science from Kenyon College and her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she received the Cardozo Service and Achievement Award and the Inspire! Student Impact Award for public service. Emily joined the firm in July 2024.
