Law Clerk
Max Baron is a Law Clerk at Slater Slater Schulman, where he focuses on mass torts and personal injury litigation. Max is a supportive advocate who helps navigate his clients through complicated legal procedures in a way that minimizes stress and confusion.
Prior to joining the firm, Max was a Judicial Intern at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where he researched cases set to appear before Appellate Committees, drafted and argued bench briefs, attended oral arguments, and revised and edited citations from other clerks and interns. He also served as a Summer Law Clerk for a law firm in Asheville and completed a former Judicial Externship through the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.
Max is an avid volunteer and a former Secretary and President of his law school’s community service organization, Society of Bar & Gavel. The organization plans and conducts trash cleanups in state beaches and parks and collects food/book donations for the South Florida community.
Max received his B.A. in English Language and History from the University of Florida and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholarship Recipient. Max served as the Senior Articles Editor of the University of Miami Race and Social Justice Review and a clinic intern at the Youth Law Clinic. Max joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in July 2023.
In his free time, Max enjoys playing guitar and bass, performing with a local jazz performance ensemble in Raleigh called the Triangle Pride Band.
