Kayla Delpo

  • Kayla Delpo is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman dedicated to advocating for survivors of sexual abuse in the State of Maryland.

Kayla’s practice is grounded in communication and transparency. Empowering survivors is extremely important to Kayla–she wants her clients to be confident in their case and representation. She accomplishes this by keeping her clients informed and educated at every step of litigation, addressing concerns quickly, and providing ongoing support.

Prior to joining the firm, Kayla worked for the Department of Children and Families in Tampa, Florida, for two years. There, she advocated for survivors of child abuse and assisted in over 200 cases. Additionally, Kayla worked as an Associate Attorney in domestic law, assisting with divorce, custody, and protective/peace order matters.

Kayla is a former volunteer at a Domestic Violence Clinic in Westchester, New York, where she assisted survivors of abuse in filing temporary restraining orders against abusers. While in law school, Kayla also co-founded and hosted an annual domestic violence seminar, which included collecting everyday items from the communities (burner phones, bus passes, clothes, toiletries, etc.) to create “go bags” to help domestic violence survivors escape abusive situations.

Kayla received her B.S. in Psychology with a Minor in Art and Criminal Justice and her Master of Science in Forensic Studies from Stevenson University. She received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law with a concentration in women and gender studies.
