Aaditya Kaushik is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman advocating for survivors of adult sexual abuse.
Aaditya is a passionate advocate who prioritizes respect and consideration for his clients. His candid approach to obstacles instills confidence in his ability to handle complex litigation and puts survivors at ease during traumatic recollections of past events. Aaditya ensures survivors feel heard during the legal process and educates them on any aspects of their case that cause concern or confusion.
Prior to joining the firm, Aaditya was an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. While serving as an ADA, Aaditya handled violent felony offenses, felony sex offenses and hate crime cases within the Sex Crimes Unit and the Hate Crimes Unit, participated in attempted murder trials, and conducted suppression hearings in the NY Supreme Court.
Aaditya is an active member of the New York City Bar Association, currently serving as a member of the Rule of Law Task Force and the Civil Rights Committee. Through his committee work, Aaditya strengthens our constitutional democracy, ensures respect for due process of law and a system of checks and balances, and advocates for the protection of fundamental rights and the fair and equal administration of justice.
Aaditya is a former mentor for Manhattan high school students through the DA’s internship program, where he met with students to discuss their long-term plans, prepare for mock trials and encourage them to become involved in improving the criminal justice system. Aaditya has also volunteered at the Brooklyn Cat Cafe and participated in local food and clothing drives, collecting professional and warm clothing for community members throughout the year.
Aaditya received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from George Washington University Law School, where he served as a Notes Editor for the George Washington Law Review. Aaditya officially joined Slater Slater Schulman in April 2024 and is licensed to practice in New York state courts
