Veronica R. Diaz is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, advocating for survivors of trauma and child sexual abuse.
Veronica exemplifies honesty and integrity in every aspect of her practice, ensuring transparent communication at all times. With a keen awareness of her client’s unique needs, Veronica remains responsive and supportive, navigating legal complexities with precision to achieve optimal results.
Veronica initially joined Slater Slater Schulman as a Contract Attorney in February 2024 and decided to continue with the firm as an Associate in June 2024. As a Contract Attorney, Veronica advocated for the Firm’s California clients, focusing on Document Review and Discovery in the lawsuit against Los Angeles County on behalf of hundreds of former foster children survivors of child sexual abuse at MacLaren Hall.
Prior to joining the firm, Veronica served as Of Counsel for a boutique law firm specializing in Corporate and Business, Entertrainment, and Intellectual Property Law. There, she focused on providing legal assistance to individuals, startups, entrepreneurs, and companies in all stages of business, including contracts, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, intellectual property rights, and blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Additionally, using her passion for business management, Veronica formally served as a Legal Consultant for multiple firms and as In-House Counsel, gaining litigation experience in Employment, Family, and Personal Injury Law.
Veronica’s commitment to social justice is further exemplified by her role as a pro bono law clerk for the Women’s Employment Rights Clinic of Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, CA where she assisted in representing numerous workers on employment matters including wage theft and discrimination including pregnancy discrimination, harassment and retaliation, family leave and unemployment compensation. Additionally, she volunteers to help seniors in her local community complete day-to-day tasks when needed.
Veronica received her B.A. in International Relations with a Minor in Business Marketing from Florida State University. She received her J.D. & Public Interest Specialization from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she frequented the Dean’s List, attained the Witkin Award for the Business of Solo and Small Firm Law Practice, and was part of the Pro Bono Honor Society. Veronica is licensed to practice in California State courts.
