Sarah Tenner is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors of sexual abuse in Baltimore.
Sarah is highly regarded by her clients as a confident, passionate advocate who brings both empathy and strength to her practice. She understands that consistency is key to helping survivors succeed. With each individual she supports, Sarah creates an empowering space, combining clear, compassionate communication with a deep understanding of the law to guide them through their legal journey.
Prior to joining Slater Slater Schulman, Sarah built a diverse legal background in Administrative Law, Transportation Law, Juvenile Law/Child Welfare Law, Environmental Law/Environmental Justice, and Animal Law. She was an Attorney Adviser for the Federal Railroad Administration, exercising enforcement concerning railroads, hazardous material shippers, and other entities that violated Federal railroad safety laws and regulations. She also served as an Assistant County Attorney for Baltimore County, conducting civil litigation in the Circuit Court and presenting child welfare cases.
Sarah remains actively engaged in her community through supporting local causes, participating in environmental clean-up events in Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City, and advocating for animal welfare and environmental justice. She has been involved with Graham Equestrian Center, a nonprofit educational organization that promotes inclusive equestrian programs and therapeutic horsemanship while preserving open space at Gunpowder Falls State Park. Sarah also volunteers her time caring for the horses and supporting events that provide hands-on experiences with horses for children from Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.
Sarah received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Salisbury University, where she was awarded the William Chaney Bunn Memorial Scholarship for environmental activism. She received her J.D. from the University of Maryland King Francis Carey School of Law with a Certificate in Environmental Law. Sarah has been a valuable part of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2025 and is licensed to practice in Maryland state courts.
