Michael J. Sutnick is a Law Clerk at Slater Slater Schulman, where he works with the Adult Sexual Abuse team in the New York office.
In his role, he conducts client interviews, responds to discovery requests, and drafts legal documents, drawing on a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and thoughtful advocacy. Michael is a dedicated and empathetic advocate who approaches each case with care and a deep commitment to helping survivors share their stories and seek justice.
Before joining the firm, Michael gained hands-on experience as a judicial intern to the Honorable Edward S. Kiel, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey, and as a Summer Associate at Scarinci Hollenbeck, where he supported attorneys on a variety of civil litigation matters. He also competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
Outside of law, Michael served in the Peace Corps in Colombia, collaborating with local communities on English education, economic development, and social programs. This experience reinforced his commitment to understanding, respecting, and uplifting every individual, a principle that continues to guide his advocacy.
Michael graduated magna cum laude from New York Law School, where he served as a Staff Editor on the Law Review with a forthcoming publication. He earned his B.A. in Global and International Studies and Spanish from The Pennsylvania State University. He joined Slater Slater Schulman in September 2025 and has since passed the Uniform Bar Examination.
