Matthew Dutra is Slater Slater Schulman’s Information Technology Manager operating out of our office in Melville.

Matthew is an analytical and dependable professional known for solving complex issues with a proactive and detail-oriented approach. He adapts quickly to new technologies, communicates clearly with clients, and collaborates effectively with teams to deliver reliable, customer-focused results.

As IT Manager, Matthew leads all aspects of the firm’s technology, ensuring systems, software, and network infrastructure align with business operations and long-term goals. He assesses IT needs, recommends improvements, and oversees initiatives such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and cybersecurity enhancements. In addition to managing infrastructure, he recruits and mentors IT team members and implements training programs that empower staff to use technology efficiently and confidently.

Prior to joining the firm, Matthew worked as a Systems Administrator and Network Engineer at LI Tech Advisors, supporting over 50 clients and managing 2,500+ devices and 100 servers. He designed secure network infrastructures, led cloud administration across Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, and Google Workspace, and oversaw projects like system migrations and cybersecurity upgrades. As part of a select white-glove support team, he provided high-priority onsite service and worked directly with C-level executives to resolve critical IT challenges.

Outside of the firm, Matthew has volunteered at a Therapeutic Horseback Riding Camp, supporting individuals with special needs through equine-assisted activities that promote confidence and emotional strength. He has also provided support at a local food pantry, helping individuals and families access essential resources.

Matthew has been a valuable member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2025. He holds a B.S. in Computer Security Systems from Farmingdale State College and the following certifications:
