Leslie Hansen-Weiden is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman with a focus on representing survivors of sexual abuse. She primarily represents formerly incarcerated women seeking recourse for abuses suffered while in the state penitentiary system.
Understanding how daunting the system can be for trauma survivors, Leslie strives to demystify the legal process for her clients through education and ardent support. Leslie creates a trusting environment for survivors to tell their stories and assists in setting attainable goals to secure the sense of justice and closure they deserve.
Leslie also has prior legal experience in the area of mass tort product liability. She represented clients injured by the drug Elmiron in multidistrict litigation in New Jersey federal court.
Outside of the firm, Leslie volunteers with Moms Demand Action, advocating for gun safety legislation that preserves the safety of American families from preventable tragedies.
Leslie received a B.S. in Science in Journalism and a B.A. in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, on the quarter finalist team in the Wagner Employment Law Moot Court Competition, and a recipient of the Lisle Merit Scholarship. Leslie joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in February 2023 and is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Texas state courts.
