Krizea Marie Duron-Chan is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors of institutional sexual abuse, with a particular focus on cases involving schools and educational institutions.

Known for her competence, ethical approach, and tenacity, Krizea is committed to building trust with clients and advocating vigorously on their behalf. She emphasizes constant communication and works to ensure her clients feel supported, understood, and confident in every decision regarding their cases.

Prior to joining Slater Slater Schulman, Krizea practiced civil and criminal litigation in the Philippines for over four years, handling a wide range of cases, including rape, sexual assault, acts of lasciviousness, and violence against women and children. She also served as retained corporate counsel for a hydroelectric power plant and provided extensive pro bono representation for indigent children in conflict with the law. After moving to the United States in 2024, Krizea worked as a paralegal in a plaintiff’s trial firm before earning her California Bar license in 2025.

In addition to her litigation and corporate work, Krizea dedicated significant time to representing indigent children in conflict with the law in the Philippines, ensuring vulnerable youth had access to legal support. She is also fluent in Tagalog and Bisaya, in addition to English.

Krizea earned her B.S. in Biology, graduating cum laude, and her J.D. from Silliman University in the Philippines, where she was recognized as Best Orator and actively participated in student government. She has been a valued member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2026 and is licensed to practice in both California and the Philippines.
