  • Justin Lacour is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors of child sexual abuse.

    Justin is a dedicated advocate with genuine empathy for his clients. He makes it a priority to build trust and maintain open communication with survivors. Justin empowers his clients to stand up for themselves at every stage of the legal process, making it more transparent and less overwhelming.

    Bringing 14 years of experience to the firm, Justin has built a diverse career spanning both civil and criminal litigation. He began his practice in New York as a litigation associate at a major law firm and as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. After relocating to Louisiana, Justin clerked for a Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court before serving as a prosecutor, where he handled serious felony cases. Prior to joining the firm, he transitioned to civil litigation, representing clients in matters including personal injury and trusts and estates. He has also argued twice before the Louisiana Supreme Court

    Justin received his B.A. in English from the University of Houston and and his J.D. from St. John’s University, where he graduated magna cum laude and served as the Notes & Comments Editor, St. John’s Law Review. In law school, Justin was an active member of the St. John’s Securities Arbitration Clinic, where he assisted low-income investors, and volunteered with the St. John’s Courtroom Advocates Project, providing support to victims of domestic violence.

    Justin has been a valuable member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since July 2025 and is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and New York state courts.
