  • Jerold Dornbush serves as Senior Counsel at Slater Slater Schulman, where he focuses primarily on commercial and residential real estate matters throughout New York State. With 40 years of legal experience and a rich background in private practice, Jerold is well-known for cultivating lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel, fostering trust and collaboration in every transaction.

    An ethical and analytical professional, Jerold approaches each client matter with integrity and thoughtful precision. He listens carefully to his client’s story, thoroughly analyzes available strategies, and applies the relevant law to develop effective solutions. By ensuring every action is both legally sound and practical—and always seeking the client’s input and approval—Jerold builds trust through transparency and collaboration.

    Prior to joining the firm, Jerold spent 30 years at a national law firm in New York City, focusing on commercial real estate and corporate law transactions. He began as a first-year associate and was later made a partner. During this time, he advised landlords and tenants in office, retail, and shopping center leasing, as well as in sales, acquisitions, and financing. He also represented national restaurant chains and local food service operators in franchising, trademark licensing, and area development agreements.  Jerold counsels high net worth individuals in the purchase, sale and finance of residential real estate transactions.

    Jerold earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Miami. He has been an integral part of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2025 and is licensed to practice in both Florida and New York State courts. Outside the firm, Jerold serves on the Board of Trustees of the Dix Hills Jewish Center, where he provides legal guidance and assists with facility-related matters.
