  • Hardeep Chauhan is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing sexual abuse survivors involved with the landmark Boy Scouts of America bankruptcy litigation.

    Hardeep builds a strong rapport with clients by fostering a supportive environment for them to feel at ease. Through active listening and an empathic approach, Hardeep allows his client relationships to build organically, instilling trust and confidence in his abilities to represent their best interests.

    In addition to his work with survivors of sexual abuse, Hardeep is registered with the New York State Office of Court Administration, Guardian & Fiduciary Services. He’s able to serve as a Court Evaluator, Guardian to Incapacitated Persons, and Counsel to Guardians as a Member of New York State’s Part 36 Fiduciary list.

    Hardeep is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, and the Queens County Bar Association. He frequently attends networking events, CLEs, and other group events to remain involved and informed about trends in the legal community.

    Prior to joining the firm, Hardeep was an associate for a plaintiff firm in New York focusing on real estate and civil tort litigation. Additionally, Hardeep worked as an associate litigating commercial and real estate matters in front of New York State courts, assisting clients with trusts and estates, elder law, and transactions.

    Hardeep received his B.A. in Psychology from Queens College and his J.D. from Widener Commonwealth University School of Law, where he obtained a Certificate in Business Advising with Honors while focusing on business organization and structure, business planning, taxation, employment relationships, and business transaction skills. Hardeep is currently working towards his Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. He joined Slater Slater Schulman in October 2023 and is licensed to practice in New York state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
