  • Danielle Carter is a Senior Associate at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors under the Child Victims Act and individuals pursuing personal injury claims in New York.

    Known for her steadfast dedication, attentiveness, and compassion, Danielle brings a strategic mindset to every case. Her practice is rooted in a deep commitment to her clients’ needs and goals, ensuring they feel empowered and informed throughout the legal process. Danielle prides herself on being highly responsive and approaches each matter with empathy and forward-thinking advocacy, keeping the person behind the case at the center of her work.

    Prior to joining Slater Slater Schulman, Danielle held roles in both private and public practice, gaining broad and meaningful experience. She began her career in private practice, where she litigated labor and employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues. She then served as an Assistant County Attorney, defending state tort claims and representing Child Protective Services and the Department of Probation in abuse, neglect, and juvenile delinquency cases. During this time, she also argued motions before the Appellate Division, Second Department.

    Most recently, as a Senior Assistant District Attorney, she prosecuted felony-level criminal cases—including sexual assault—from investigation through trial, regularly presenting cases to the grand jury, preparing witnesses, and litigating in court. Outside of the firm, Danielle is an active member of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association, where she supports and collaborates with fellow women attorneys across the legal field.

    Danielle earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Long Island University – CW Post and her J.D. from New York Law School. She has been a valuable member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2025 and is licensed to practice in New York State and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
