Christina Stephens is an Associate at Slater Slater Schulman representing survivors of sexual abuse.
Christina is a tenacious advocate who diligently represents survivors during their most vulnerable times. Her honesty forges positive rapport with her clients and helps establish attainable goals throughout the litigation. Treating survivors with the dignity and respect they deserve, Christina has sought justice for many individuals who have suffered unthinkable acts of trauma and secured a sense of closure for their future.
Prior to joining the firm, Christina worked as Assistant District Attorney at the Queens District Attorney’s Office for almost 6 years in the Intake Bureau, Criminal Court Bureau, and Felony Trial Bureau III. Christina tried cases involving robbery, weapons possession, assault, and harassment cases to verdict. She also prosecuted other violent felony crimes, including firearms possession, as well as misdemeanor cases involving assaults, intoxicated driving, sex crimes, and other forms of sexual trauma.
Christina’s work in this role resulted in her receiving the Hal Miller Weinstein Award – awarded to the ADA in the first-year class who most exemplifies Hal Weinstein’s spirit, enthusiasm, and dedication to public service. She also received a merit bonus awarded to the overall top-performing ADA in each trial bureau.
Christina graduated cum laude with her B.A. in Legal Studies with a minor in International Studies from St. John’s University. She graduated magna cum laude with her J.D. from Quinnipiac School of Law. Christina joined Slater Slater Schulman in January 2024 and is licensed to practice in New York State courts. Outside the firm, Christina is a foster care parent and desires to help children in need wherever possible.
