  • Abigail Harman is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors of child sexual assault and sexual abuse in Maryland.

    Abigail is a thoughtful and dedicated advocate who works to make survivors feel comfortable sharing their unique stories. She keeps communication clear and open throughout the process, helping them feel supported and confident in every decision about their case.

    Prior to joining the firm, Abigail worked as a plaintiff’s attorney handling sexual assault and abuse personal injury claims and mass tort cases. She gained experience as a Rule 10 Certified Attorney at the West Virginia University Veterans Law Clinic, assisting veterans with discharge upgrades and disability claims. In Charleston, WV, she represented victims of sexual assault and abuse against churches, hospitals, schools, and other institutions, managed hundreds of mass tort claims against federal and corporate defendants such as Monsanto, Johnson & Johnson, 3M, and Cook Medical, and traveled nationally to collaborate with leading plaintiff firms and litigators.

    Abigai’s dedication resulted in recognition by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer in 2025. She is also actively involved in the West Virginia Association for Justice, West Virginia State Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore City Bar Association, and Maryland Association for Justice.

    Abigail received her B.A. in English Literature and her J.D. from West Virginia University, where she attended as a Presidential Scholar and member of the Honors College, was a Division I student-athlete, and served as Assistant to WVU’s Director of International Programs. While in law school, she was a member of the Women’s Leadership Council and an executive of the Student Bar Association.

    Abigail has been a trusted member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2026 and is licensed to practice in Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio state courts.
