Kylie Tejera is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman, representing survivors of sexual abuse.
Kylie is a compassionate and detail-oriented attorney who values honesty and integrity at the core of her legal practice. Her approach is grounded in transparency, empathy, and meeting her clients where they are—emotionally, mentally, and practically. She strives to create a space where every survivor feels safe, heard, and respected.
Prior to joining the firm, Kylie was a Trial Attorney in the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Personnel Law Branch, where she litigated cases involving harassment, discrimination and retaliation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Merit Systems Protection Board.
Beyond her legal work, Kylie volunteers in the community during the holiday season to prepare and deliver meals to those in need. She has also contributed to Harford County’s Teen Court, a diversion program for youth charged with misdemeanor offenses. In this role, she upheld the program’s peer-led model focused on accountability and rehabilitation over punishment.
Kylie received her B.A. in English from the University of Mary Washington and graduated cum laude with her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She has been a valuable member of the Slater Slater Schulman team since 2025 and is licensed to practice in Maryland state courts.
