Carlos Zanforlin is a law clerk at Slater Slater Schulman advocating for survivors of child sexual abuse.
Carlos is the team leader for law clerks, paralegals, and legal assistants working on claims falling under three Judicial Council Coordination Procedures—JCCP 5101, 5105 and 5108. He works closely with attorneys and firm liaisons to coordinate matters with these JCCPs.
Prior to Slater Slater Schulman, Carlos practiced civil litigation and corporate law as an attorney in Brazil. In 2018, he moved to the United States and joined the Paralegal Training Program at UCLA Extension. He plans to sit for the next California State Bar exam as he continues to build a new law career in the United States.
Carlos received his J.D. in Sao Paulo Brazil from Centro Universitario FMU, and was previously licensed at the State Bar of California as a Foreign Legal Consultant. He joined Slater Slater Schulman in May 2022 as a paralegal, and was then promoted in March 2023 to law clerk.
Outside of the firm, Carlos has a YouTube channel for Brazilian attorneys practicing law in the United States. Carlos has lived and studied in Israel, and is fluent in Portuguese, Hebrew, and Yiddish. He loves practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and spending time with his wife and daughter.
