Philip Papiasvili is an Associate Attorney at Slater Slater Schulman and a dedicated advocate for survivors of abuse and trauma. He frequently represents clients in cases involving Child Victims Act litigation, child abuse, sexual abuse, and mass torts.
Philip’s clear communication and honest demeanor establish a trusting relationship with his clients from the start. In addition to having a great deal of legal knowledge, years of experience have given Philip an extensive understanding of how traumatic it can be for survivors to pursue a legal case. His unceasing work ethic assures his clients that their best interests are a priority as he establishes attainable goals and works tirelessly to secure the closure and satisfaction they desire.
Prior to the firm, Philip was an Associate Attorney at a full-service firm in Brooklyn, where he concentrated on transportation law and personal injury litigation. Before that, Philip worked for years as a Staff Attorney in the Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice. While there, he litigated on behalf of children in Family Court Act Article 10 Child Protective cases revolving around child abuse and neglect and represented clients in matters pertaining to Termination of Parental Rights, Custody, Paternity, and other related proceedings.
While in law school, Philip was elected and served as President of the Society of Bar & Gavel for his 2L and 3L years. This invite-only honor society revolves around tenets of leadership, service, attitude, and character and is comprised of the most ambitious and brightest students at the law school. Philip was also a HOPE Fellow and a recipient of the Carlton Fields HOPE Fellow Scholarship.
Outside of his practice, Philip has always been passionate about helping others in need. In law school, Philip ran a Christmas Gift drive to benefit Kristi House, an advocacy center dedicated to eradicating child abuse and child sex trafficking. He also volunteered weekly at Empower Youth Tutoring program, tutoring children of all ages, and participated in the Books and Buddies program with a local elementary school.
Philip received his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Maryland and his J.D from the University of Miami School of Law. Philip joined the Slater Slater Schulman team in 2022. He is a member of the NY State Bar Association and licensed to practice in New York State courts.
