***OxyELITE Lawsuit Warning Alert***
In response to a large number of liver damage cases associated with its popular product OxyELITE Pro, USPLabs has pulled the diet pill off the market. Following an investigation by the Hawaii Department of Health, a “voluntary removal” of OxyELITE Pro was advised to all Hawaiian retailers, and the public was asked to stop any use of the diet supplement. The Hawaiian regulator has linked OxyELITE Pro to at least 24 cases of liver damage across the state. OxyELITE lawsuits are expected against USPLabs due to what seems to be a manufacturing defect. The injuries have surface between May and October 2013.
To date, 29 liver failure instances in Hawaii have been reported and linked to dietary supplements. At least 24 of these have allegedly used OxyELITE Pro prior to their hospitalization. While the known hospitalizations have all been reported in Hawaii, OxyELITE Pro has been sold throughout the United States, and it is not yet known whether the diet pills have caused injuries on a wider scale.
The United States Food & Drug Administration has warned earlier in 2013 the OxyELITE Pro and other supplements that contain dimethylamylamine (DMAA)have been linked to cases of serious illness and even deaths. At the time, OxyELITE Pro said their product containing “DMAA has not been manufactured or distributed since early 2013.”
